This contract is for the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials required to complete upgrades to both the Niagara Road 12 and Park Road Landfill leachate pump stations located in the Towns of West Lincoln and Grimsby respectively. Unless otherwise noted the following works are applicable to both the NR12 and Park Road Leachate pump stations.

• Replacement of the submersible leachate pumps and their associated discharge piping and valves located within the wet wells and associated yard chambers.
• Replacement of the secondary electrical service and outdoor process electrical distribution system including new outdoor distributions panels, pump controllers and manual transfer switch. (Note: standby generators are not included in this project).
• Replacement of the process field instrumentation
• Installation of programmable logic controller (PLC) within a new control panel together with associated devices to allow communication with the Region’s area wide wastewater SCADA system, together with SCADA programming of the PLC and Region’s SCADA HMI
• Structural upgrades to the precast leachate wet well including replacement of the wet well precast top slab, intermediate service platform, handrail and access ladders.
• (NR12 Only) A new precast concrete building with foundations housing a new odor control system consisting of two chemical metering pumps, a 2000L Bioxide chemical storage tank, chemical piping, and a built-in secondary containment area.
• Minor piping and structural modifications to the yard chambers
• Yard restoration and minor access driveway improvements

This contract utilizes the “Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document” (Revision 18), which forms the specification documents.  The “Standard Document,” except the “Special Instructions to Bidders, Form of Tender, and Supplementary Special Provisions,” which are formatted for each project individually, is available online in the “Tenders” section of the Niagara Region website (www.niagararegion.ca).

All tenders must be accompanied by a tender deposit in the amount of $75,000 (seventy-five thousand dollars).
