This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Design of Improvements at Three Landfill Sites, as further described in Appendix D – RFP Particulars (the “Deliverables”). 

This RFP is being issued to complete the detailed design, tender, contract administration and inspection of improvements to:

1)  Bridge Street Landfill Site:

a)The Residential Waste and Recycling Drop-Off Depot (Drop-Off Depot) Refer to Figure 2 for a visual representation of the Depot;

b) A new Re-Useable Goods Drop-Off Depot, new scale house and scale; and

c) Access to the Niagara Region’s Bridge Street Landfill Site. 

2) Niagara Road 12 (NR-12) Landfill Site:

a) A new loading dock that will allow for transport truck trailers to back into the elevated portion of the Residential Waste and Recycling Drop Off Depot; and,

b) A new dump/tipping pad adjacent to or in the vicinity of the NR-12 Residential Waste and Recycling Drop Off Depot.

3) Humberstone Landfill Site:

a) A new loading dock that will allow for transport truck trailers to back into the elevated portion of the Residential Waste and Recycling Drop Off Depot.
