This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 2024-T-185 Rooftop Fall Protection System Retrofit – Phase 4 to 7, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). This project consists of work required at seven (7) different building locations in Niagara Region to increase the level of roof top safety for all employees and contractors that work on the roofs of these facilities. The work will include the supply and install of non-penetrative railings, removal of old ladders, supply and installation of new code compliant roof access ladders, some refurbishment of existing ladders (clean off and re-paint) and relocation of some existing pavement walkways. All railing, ladder and other roof safety equipment shop drawings required shall be stamped and signed by a professional structural engineer registered in the province of Ontario. The successful bidder shall include all costs related to supplying and installing all equipment detailed in Appendix D - Drawings and Specifications including costs for delivery, receiving material, cranage, installation, clean up and disposal of garbage and items being removed from sites. The successful bidder will be the main contractor and will be responsible for all aspects of the project. |
