***PLEASE NOTE: This RFQ is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2019-RFPQ-173 specifically Category 7.*** Background The Victoria Avenue Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) is located on the South Service Road approximately 350 m west of Victoria Avenue in the Town of Lincoln. Originally constructed in 1978, the SPS was recently upgraded to increase the capacity from ~79 L/s to 118 L/s. The sewage forcemain that conveys flows from Victoria Avenue SPS runs along South Service Road from the SPS and discharges into a gravity sewer at the intersection of South Service Road and Bartlett Road. Approximately 1,800 m of the forcemain was replaced in 2016 with new 450 mm PVC DR-XX, extending from the SPS to approximately 450 m west of Cherry Avenue. The section from Cherry Avenue to Bartlett Road is the original 400 mm polyethelene (PE) forcemain. The SPS currently services ~4,200 people with growth projections to 4,900 people by 2041. Due to anticipated growth in the catchment area, the SPS requires a further capacity upgrade to 230 L/s. This will be facilitated, in part, by replacing the remaining 3,800 m of PE forcemain with a new forcemain to the discharge location at Bartlett Road. |
