Description: |
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). Niagara Region will only consider proposals received from proponents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFP directly from Niagara Region’s public purchasing portal at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca/Module/Tenders/en (the “Bidding System”). Introduction The Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer is located in the City of Niagara Falls and runs parallel to the Ontario Power Generation (OPG) Hydro Canal from Dorchester Road to Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). The Niagara Region Water and Wastewater Services closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection program has identified a number of concrete sewers and maintenance holes in the Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer that were recommended for rehabilitation as a result of noted H2S corrosion. This Contract is for Phase II of the Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer rehabilitation and includes the rehabilitation of fourteen (14) sewer sections 1050mm in diameter and thirteen (13) maintenance holes (MHs) spanning approximately 1,560 meters in total length. Phase II of the sewer travels parallel to the OPG canal, starting from the Millennium Recreational Trail, approximately 450m south of Thorold Stone Road, to the Niagara Falls Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 3450 Stanley Avenue in the City of Niagara Falls. The Stamford Interceptor Trunk Sewer Rehabilitation Phase II Project includes the application of Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) to rehabilitate the deteriorated 1050mm diameter reinforced concrete trunk sewer. Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation includes the replacement of frame, cover, and interior deficiencies using wall bond spray-applied lining. The Work to be done includes all aspects of the rehabilitation required to rectify the noted deficiencies in the sewer segments and MH including flow control, construction of temporary access and restoration of all affected areas to match, or exceed, existing conditions. |
