This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Waste Disposal, Waste and Recycling Drop-Off Depot & Leaf and Yard Waste Composting Operations at Niagara Road 12 Landfill Site, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Introduction: Niagara Region is responsible for providing waste disposal and recycling facilities and services for municipal solid waste generated by residents, contractors, and small businesses within the Niagara region. This Tender encompasses the supply of all labour, materials, and equipment necessary to conduct Waste Disposal Operations, Leaf and Yard Waste Composting, and Waste and Recycling Drop-Off Depot Operations at the Niagara Rd 12 Landfill site, also known as the "Site," in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in this Tender. The Niagara Road 12 Landfill site is situated at 7015 Concession 7, West Lincoln, in the Township of West Lincoln, Niagara Region, near the hamlet of Grimsby Centre. It is described as Part of Lots 6 and 7, Concession 7. The western limit of the site is approximately 400 meters east of the intersection of Concession 7 Road and Regional Road 12. The Niagara Road 12 Landfill site facilitates the disposal of domestic, commercial, and non-hazardous, solid industrial waste under the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) number A121515. The MECP approval provides a comprehensive list of conditions Niagara Region must comply with when operating, maintaining and monitoring the site. |
