This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 2026-T-14 Thorold Transportation Building Renovation Project Construction Contractor , as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Niagara Region is seeking a qualified General Contractor, the low bidder of which will to act as the Contractor and will work with the Prime Consultant and the Owner under a CCDC2-2020 Contract to renovate the Niagara Region’s Transportation Building. For the purposes of the RFQ, “contractor” shall be equivalent to “successful bidder”. The Region is looking for an experienced firm that will provide value to the project with demonstrated ability in delivering this type of project in scope, on time and on budget with specific emphasis on quality and performance.

The Niagara Region’s Transportation Building being renovated is located at 3557 Thorold Townline Road in Thorold, Ontario. The building is an engineering building originally supplied by Samual Steel in the late 1970’s and functions as a start/stop for transportation workers (change rooms, work instructions, meetings, etc.) & wash bay to support winter operations. The building is dated and isn’t being utilized effectively.

This RFT is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2024-RFSQ-203 specifically Category 1.
