This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 2026-RFP-81 Operations of the Re-usable Materials Drop-Off Depot, Niagara Road 12 Landfill Site in West Lincoln and/or Humberstone Landfill Site in Welland, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

Niagara Region will only consider proposals received from proponents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFP directly from Niagara Region’s public purchasing portal at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca/Module/Tenders/en (the “Bidding System”).

Niagara Region is committed to promoting waste diversion through reuse, recycling, and community partnerships. The Reusable Materials Drop-off Depot Program provides residents and small businesses with an opportunity to donate reusable household goods for continued use, reducing the amount of material disposed at Niagara Region landfill facilities.

Niagara Region is seeking proposals from qualified non-profit organizations (NPOs) to operate Reusable Materials Drop-off Depots located at Niagara Region waste management facilities.
