Description: |
This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for 2023-Q-101 Public Work Service Center – Water Cistern Replacement and Water/Sanitary System Review , as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). Niagara Region operates a Public Works Service Centre (PWSC) and Thorold Yard at 3547 and 3557 Thorold Townline Road and the NRPS Fleet facility at 3551 Thorold Townline Road, in the City of Thorold. This property lies outside of the urban service boundary, and is serviced by hauled water stored in cisterns, onsite grey water storage tanks, and onsite sewage systems consisting of septic tanks and leaching beds. The Region now wishes to proceed with the replacement of the two (2) existing temporary potable water cisterns with new underground cisterns that will be used exclusively to store hauled potable water to serve the PWSC building, this will be part of phase 1 of this project. Phase 2 will consist of testing the existing septic bed soil to confirm its percolation characteristics to confirm if the current configuration of the septic beds is adequately sized for purpose. Phase 3 of this project will include a detailed site water management review and testing of the septic beds to confirm they are adequate for their intended usage. We are seeking qualified consultants to undertake the design and contract administration required to complete these scopes of work. This RFQ is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2021-RFSQ-227 specifically Category 5
