This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara(“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Geotechnical/Hydrogeological Investigation for the Eastside SPS Forcemain Replacement Project, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”). Project Background Niagara Region (the Region) is undertaking a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study to assess alternative routes for the Eastside Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) forcemain in the City of Port Colborne. A geotechnical and a hydrogeological investigation is required to support assessment of alternative forcemain routes and support the conceptual design of the preferred forcemain alignment and associated utility crossing. The purpose of this undertaking is to complete the requisite fieldwork, laboratory tests, and engineering analysis for a geotechnical and a hydrogeological investigation in support of evaluation of alternative routes and design of the preferred forcemain alignment and utility crossing. |
