| Description: |
This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Thundering Waters Trunk Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Thundering Waters Trunk Sewer (TWTS) Rehabilitation contract is for the rehabilitation of twelve (12) sewer segments and thirteen (13) maintenance holes (MH) located in the Niagara Region (City of Niagara Falls as noted in the Contract drawings and documents). This project includes the application of Cured-in-Place Pipe (CIPP) to rehabilitate the deteriorated trunk sewer. Maintenance Hole Rehabilitation includes replacement of frame, cover and adjustment units, and the rehabilitation of interior deficiencies. Through Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) inspections, approximately 1,763 m of 1200 mm and 1350 mm concrete sewers and MHs were identified as having significant levels of Microbial Induced Corrosion (MIC), commonly known as H2S corrosion and as a result, were determined to require remedial work. |
