This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 2026-T-6 234 Bunting Rd – Public Health Amalgamation Renovation Project – Construction Contractor, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The Niagara Region is seeking a qualified General Contractor to act as the Contractor under a CCDC2-2020 Contract to renovate the Niagara Region’s St. Catharines Social Assistance and Employment Opportunities (SAEO) building. The Region is looking for an experienced firm that will provide value to the project with demonstrated ability in delivering this type of project in scope, on time and on budget with specific emphasis on quality and performance. The St. Catharines SAEO Building being renovated is located at 234 Bunting Road in St. Catharines, Ontario. The building was leased by the Niagara Region and renovated to its current state in 2006. The building currently has vacant space and a division of Public Health is leasing standalone space in an adjacent municipality, Thorold. The main objective of this project is relocate the two (2) Public Health teams to this location to increase efficiency and leverage shared resources/spaces, like the main reception area, lunch room, meeting rooms, etc.. An Application for Building Permit has already been made and paid for. The successful bidder will work with the Prime Consultant and the Owner under a CCDC2-2020 Contract. For the purposes of the RFQ, “contractor” shall be equivalent to “successful bidder”. This RFT is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2024-RFSQ-203 specifically Category 1. |
