Description: 

The Niagara Region is embarking on the redevelopment of two long-term care homes in the municipalities of St. Catharines and Fort Erie; each to be redeveloped as part of a community hub. Significant growth in the demographic of Niagara Region’s aging population has identified a significant pressure on the availability of long-term care beds. To help ensure that future needs for service can be met these two new long-term care homes will be situated on campuses that have co-located services designed to delay or avoid the transfer to long-term care and / or to support the families of those in the Long Term Care facilities.
