Description: |
This contract is for the supply of all labour, equipment, and material required to rehabilitate the Thorold Zone 3 Elevated Tank. The project scope of work includes the following: · Full removal of interior lining system, repairs to existing steel and concrete and application of interior lining system · Full removal and replacement of exterior coating system, including installation of a temporary scaffolding and hoarding structure and lead abatement · Safety upgrades including new ladders, fall arrest, tank access hatches and handrails · Process piping upgrades including replacement of valves, tank drain piping modifications, installation of chlorine analyser and a new sanitary connection · Electrical upgrades · Site upgrades including new overflow swale, fencing and access driveway · Restoration and clean-up This contract utilizes the “Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document” (Revision 19), which forms the specification documents. The “Standard Document,” excepting the “Special Instructions to Bidders, Form of Tender, and Supplementary Special Provisions,” which are formatted for each project individually, is available online in the “Bid Opportunities” section of the Niagara Region website (niagararegion.ca/business/tenders). Bidding System Registration Niagara Region will only consider bids received from bidders who have registered with Niagara Region’s electronic bidding system at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”) and who have registered as a Plan Taker for the bid opportunity, which will enable the bidder to download the documents without the preview watermark, receive addenda email notifications, and download addenda. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender deposit in the amount of $90,000. |
