This Request for Quotations (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective respondents to submit quotations for Geotechnical, Hydrogeological and Environmental Investigations in Support of Welland Water Treatment Plant LLPS and Tail Race Upgrades, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Region of Niagara will construct a new water treatment plant (WTP) on the north side of the existing High Lift Pump Station (HLPS) and Reservoir to expand the plant capacity and replace existing infrastructure. As part of this project, the existing Low Lift Pump Station (LLPS) will be refurbished with new pumps and a new raw water main that will connect the LLPS to the new WTP. To facilitate these upgrades, the project requires Geotechnical, Hydrogeological, and Environmental Investigations to support the design of these new utilities. A map with an overview of the proposed works and area is shown in Appendix D. The Region is requesting a quotation to complete the Geotechnical Investigations, Soil Management, and Hydrogeological Investigation to facilitate the design and construction of the Welland WTP Upgrades.

This RFQ is being issued to all of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2023-RFSQ-184 specifically Category 1.
