This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 68 Church St – Pre-Demolition Designated Substance and Hazardous Materials Abatement, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).

The Niagara Region is seeking bids to allow for 68 Church St., St. Catharines (the “site”) is a Regional Municipality of Niagara (The Region) owned property that was previously occupied by the Niagara Regional Police Services. The original building was built in 1963 and underwent a major addition in 1983. The Region intends to demolish the building and sell the site to a developer to repurpose the site to a mixed-use tower – commercial and residential. In order to assist in the process, the Region is seeking the services of a qualified abatement and hazardous materials Contractor (the Contractor) with extensive relevant experience to complete the asbestos abatement and hazardous materials removal identified within the Designated Substance and Hazardous Materials Survey (DS&HMS) in accordance with the relevant and latest versions of the Ontario Regulations.; in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this Request for Tender.
