Project Background The Anger Avenue WWTP, originally built in 1963, is an extended aeration activated sludge facility. The WWTP is owned by the Region and is operated in accordance with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) amended Environmental Compliance Approval (ECA) Number 0421-8LVJ3N (issued on October 24, 2011). The plant has a rated average daily flow (ADF) capacity of 24,500 m3/d, a peak dry weather flow capacity of 49,000 m3/d and a peak wet weather flow capacity of 98,000 m3/d.
