This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Engineering Consultant Services, Niagara Region Head Quarters Generator Replacement as further described in Appendix D – RFP Particulars (the “Deliverables”). The Region is looking to upgrade the emergency back-up power system at its Niagara Region Headquarters (NRHQ) in Thorold, to address present and future requirements for backup power at NRHQ, to mitigate risks associated with aging infrastructure, and an upgraded emergency power system including new generators is required. The main objectives of this project are to: 1. Optimize the design and location of existing back-up generators 2. Increase service levels and reliability of the back-up power system 3. Add capacity to meet future requirements for back-up power 4. Relocate new generators to a less publically visible location |
