This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Maintenance of Naturalization Sites and Leash-Free Dog Park, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). 

The Regional Municipality of Niagara (Niagara Region) is seeking services for the supply of all equipment, materials and labour for the grounds maintenance and snow and ice removal at four (4) naturalization sites including two (2) free leash dog parks located at Elm Street and Centre Street:

1. Glenridge Quarry Naturalization Site in St. Catharines. The closed landfill site was converted into a naturalization site in 2003. It includes a parking lot, pavilions, children’s Science & Nature Area, Mental Health Memorial area, and walking trails.
2. Elm Street Naturalization Site and Leash-Free Dog Park in Port Colborne. The closed landfill site was converted into a naturalization site in 2010. It includes a parking lot, pavilion, walking trails, and leash-free dog areas.
3. Centre Street Leash-Free Dog Park in Pelham. The closed landfill site was converted into a leash-free dog park in 2014. It includes a parking lot, trails, and leash-free dog areas.
4. Station Road Naturalization Site in Wainfleet. The naturalization site was constructed in 2010. It includes walking trails and three (3) ponds.
