This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for 2025 Traffic Systems Contract Administration and Construction Inspection Services , as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The purpose of this assignment is to carry out contract administration and road construction inspection services on various Niagara Region construction projects all over the Nigara Region. Introduction: This Request for Proposal is for the engineering services required to provide Contract Administration and Construction Inspection for various Traffic Signal and Pedestrian Crossover (PXO) installations through out the Niagara Region. The successful proponent will be responsible for inspection of civil infrastructure components, may include but not be limited to; removals, asphalt road, curb and gutter, sidewalks, pavement markings, grading, reinstatement, and storm drainage. Niagara Region Staff will provide inspection of Traffic Signal and PXO plant components. The successful proponent will be responsible for Contract Administration for all items above. Any exceptions to providing a complete scope of services shall be listed in the proposal document and will be taken into account as part of the evaluation process The project limits vary in location throughout the Niagara Region. These locations include, but are not limited to:
The proponent shall be aware that daily inspection hours may vary based on location and/or contractors schedule and operations. Multiple locations may be under construction simultaneously or on some days not at all. The successful proponent will be responsible coordinating efforts as necessary. The works associated with this assignment will to take place in 2025. Please refer to the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) for a detailed description of the deliverables, material disclosures and mandatory requirements. This RFP is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2023-RFSQ-184 specifically Category 27.
