This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Annual Transportation Pavement Condition Study, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

Niagara Region will only consider proposals received from proponents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFP directly from Niagara Region’s public purchasing portal at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca/Module/Tenders/en (the “Bidding System”).

Niagara Region is seeking proposal submissions for the assessment of all the paved roads within Niagara Region’s boundary.  The estimated length of paved roadway in the study is approximately 1750 Lane km.  Paved segments consist of High Class (HCB, Asphalt) and Low Class Bituminous (LBC) roadways and well as Intermediate Class Bituminous (ICB) and a few concrete sections.

Niagara Region intends to identify road sections for maintenance and enhancements through this assessment and provide recommendations of appropriate intervention techniques that include road resurfacing, selective patching, crack sealing, rehabilitation and reconstruction.
