This Request for Quotation (the “RFQ”) is an invitation by The Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective respondents to provide submissions in response to this non-binding quotation request for Geotechnical Services for Carleton Street Sewage Pump Station Forcemain, as further described in Section A of the RFQ Particulars (Appendix D) (the “Deliverables”).

Niagara Region will only consider quotations received from respondents who have registered with Bids and Tenders and have obtained the RFQ directly from Niagara Region’s public purchasing portal at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca/Module/Tenders/en (the “Bidding System”).

Niagara Region (the Region) owns and operates the Carleton Street Pumping Station (PS) located at 94 1/2 Carleton Street in Thorold, built in 1915.  In 2017, the station underwent significant upgrades which included a new valve/flow meter chamber. The extent of the project did not include a replacement of the forcemain, which is reaching the end of its service life and has experienced multiple breaks. This assignment is to support the detailed design for the Carleton Street PS Forcemain Replacement.  The proposed forcemain alignment will go from the Carleton Street PS, south along Carleton Street, west along St. David Street East, north along Front Street North and connect to a maintenance hole located within the parkette on the west side of Front Street North.  

Invitation Only: This RFQ is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2019-RFPQ-173 specifically Category 9.
