This contract is for the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials required for the expansion of the Storm Water Management Pond at the closed Mountain Road Landfill Site, Niagara Falls. The project scope of work includes the: •Excavation, stockpiling and spreading of nearly 10,000 m3 •Stripping and stockpiling of approximately 22,000 m2 of topsoil •Installation of approximately 8,000m3 of erosion control blanket •Installation of 360m of fencing, a manhole extension, culvert and staff gauge •Installation of 128 trees This contract utilizes the “Niagara Peninsula Standard Contract Document” (Revision 18), which forms the specification documents. The “Standard Document,” excepting the “Special Instructions to Bidders, Form of Tender, and Supplementary Special Provisions,” which are formatted for each project individually, is available online in the “Tenders” section of the Niagara Region website (www.niagararegion.ca). A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid site meeting will be held at the former Mountain Road Landfill Site located at 2390 Mewburn Road, Niagara Falls, ON L2T 4C2 at 10:00 am (SHARP) on April 9, 2019. Bidding System Registration Niagara Region will only consider bids received from bidders who have registered with Niagara Region’s electronic bidding system at https://niagararegion.bidsandtenders.ca (the “Bidding System”) and have obtained the RFT directly from the Bidding System. All bidders must establish a Bidding System account and be registered as a Plan Taker for the bid opportunity, which will enable the bidder to download documents, receive addenda email notifications, and download addenda. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender deposit in the amount of $60,000 (sixty thousand dollars). Tenders will be publicly opened at 2:15 p.m. at Campbell West, 1815 Sir Isaac Brock Way, Thorold. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
